  • Are masks required at appointments?
No. All appointments are virtual. All you need is a phone, tablet, or computer with a working camera, speaker, and microphone.
  • How do I log on to appointments?
After you schedule your appointment, you will receive a link that will be used for ALL appointments. Just click the link and your provider will see that you are logged on.
  • What if I need to speak with my provider before my next appointment?
After your first appointment, you will receive contact information for your provider (email and cell). Please allow up to 24 hours for your provider to respond. If you have an emergency, please call 911.
  • How do I cancel/reschedule an appointment?
You can contact the provider directly or contact the administrator by calling the appropriate number for your state. Please try to cancel within 24 hours of your appointment. Missed appointment may result in a no-show fee.
  • What is considered a missed appointment?
Being 10 minutes late to your appointment is considered a missed appointment.
  • How long are the sessions?
Initial appointments are between 45-60 minutes long. Follow up appointments are 30 minutes.
  • How frequent will we meet?
Appointment frequency is based on the acuity of care. Time between appointments can be from 2- 12 weeks, based on what your provider finds appropriate for your personalized treatment.
  • Can I receive prescriptions for pain medications at Cornerstone?
No. It is outside our providers’ scopes of practice to prescribe pain meds or medication for any medical concerns.
  • Can I attend the appointment with my child?
Parents are welcome to attend appointments with children/teens. However, our providers will spend a portion of the appointment speaking 1 on 1 with your child.
  • Will you tell me if my child is engaged in dangerous behaviors?
Children have rights as patients just like adults. Confidentiality is something our providers value for all clients. If your child is at risk of hurting themselves or someone else, you and appropriate individuals will be notified. Refer to your state legislature regarding teen patient rights to consent medical treatment.
  • Can you prescribe ADHD medications (such as Adderall or Ritalin) for me?
COLORADO: Yes. However it is expected that you complete ADHD testing at an assessment center or with a psychologist first, as telehealth providers have laws to abide by regarding controlled substances. Please submit the testing results/documentation to your provider. OHIO: No. We can prescribe non controlled substances to manage ADHD but we cannot prescribe Adderall or Ritalin via telehealth per Ohio law.
